The Tipping Point

It’s been a while since my last blog post.

I’ve been just a teensy bit busy–traveling to Minnesota, hanging out with my kids, and launching A Prairie Devotional. Whew… let me catch my breath!

Sometimes in the super busy seasons of life we can get overwhelmed and forget why we are doing all the things we are doing. The reason deep down in our souls.

We pour our hearts into activities, hoping to spark joy within ourselves. Maybe bless the people around us. And sometimes I just like to feel productive. I wish productivity wasn’t that important to me, but it is.

And then there’s comes the point when I’ve gone to far, taken on too much. My brain turns to mush and a throbbing takes over. It’s a tipping point. And it happened to me yesterday.

I spent the afternoon in bed.

With an ice pack on my forehead.

Am I the only one? Please tell me, that you too struggle with over-commitment and saying no to really good things. Even when you know you should say no, but don’t have the heart to do it.

Are you at a tipping point too? Need to empty your plate so that the important things in your life get the attention they deserve?

Go ahead–say no. Or maybe just say “How about next week?”

My head is much better this morning and I’m off with friends to scope out my launch party venue. Dream and plan and hopefully pull off a fabulous party.

Taking one thing at a time and remembering that everything does not have to be perfect.

It’s not a wedding… but definitely a really fun party!

Archery. Panning for gold. A Pie Baking Contest. Pictures by the wagon and in the jailhouse. I’m so excited I can barely contain myself!

The covered wagon at Fort Hope… this place is amazing!

If you haven’t ordered your copy of A Prairie Devotional yet, it’s not too late to pre-order on Amazon for the August 6th delivery date!

Much love,

Wendi Lou
