The power of words, we can bless and we can curse. All from the same mouth, even the same breath. I’m not pointing fingers at either side, just sad to see all the political bashing. All the hate for people who think, believe, look, and vote differently than we do. Jesus called us to more than that. He called us to love.
I don’t typically share a ton of Scripture, but there’s not much else to say. Love is the only answer, it’s our only hope.
Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
1 Peter 3:8
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Colossians 3:14
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35
Much love to you,
Wendi
